數位媒體製作研究中心成立於民國92年，設立目標包括：第一，整合校內外豐沛的教學與研究資源；第二，培育具專業和跨領域專長的數位匯流人才；第三，透過實習媒體平台，提供在地資訊與報導。為實現以上目標，本中心主動發展跨領域合作計劃，與校內其他系所密切合作，整合彼此的資源與技術，創造雙贏。成功扮演全校師生與社團資訊互動與資源分享的媒體平台角色。

The Center for Digital Media Production and Research (CDMPR) was founded in 2003. The missions of the center include: (1) integrate and streamline academic and industrial resources for teaching and research, (2) develop professional and interdisciplinary skills of digital media convergence for students, and (3) offer communication services for local communities. In order to achieve these goals, CDMPR initiates or invites interdisciplinary collaboration for academic as well as industrial research projects. The center also shares resources and functions as a major media platform of telecommunications services for school faculty, students, clubs and other scholastic activities.
